Bart Schaap

Senior Associate

Bart joined Argo Saint George from a five year career at NIBC Bank in The Netherlands.

At NIBC, Bart headed the ratings advisory team, working with listed and private companies on their credit ratings and on the design of capital structures. Bart developed and implemented credit methodologies determining both credit ratings and recovery prospects for all wholesale lending transactions within the bank.

He started his career at Standard & Poor’s European Infrastructure Ratings Group in London, progressing to lead analyst for various utility companies, railways, airports and project finance transactions in the UK, Netherlands and Kazakhstan.

Bart has a Masters’ degree in macroeconomics from the University of Groningen, where he specialised in monetary economics.
