Daniel Geoghegan

Daniel has a 15 year background in Venture Capital in multi-sector, high growth markets where he led, managed and/or advised investments in outdoor advertising, IT services, leisure and mineral water distribution. Since 2002, he has been advising entrepreneurs and small and medium sized enterprises on corporate transactions, raising capital where necessary, across a range of sectors including media, healthcare and property, before co-founding Argo St George in 2005.
Daniel has advised on over USD300million of debt and equity transactions, alongside various company appointments, since Argo St George’s establishment.
Prior to 2002, Daniel was Managing Director of European Capital Ventures, a Euro 25 million holding company with a focus on IT services, and founder and Lead Partner of Sargasso Partners with which European Capital Ventures merged in 2000.
He began his career as an Investment Manager, working with Venture Capital Investors B.V., Amsterdam, managing investments in a number of ventures in emerging markets, overseeing the establishment, growth and exit of investee companies, taking interim management roles as required. His experience in venture capital sits alongside his corporate strategy and business development role at HMV Media plc.
Daniel holds an Honours degree in Law from Reading University, and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Warwick Business School. He is a member of the UK Society of Investment Professionals and holds an Investment Management Certificate.
