Lysander Tennant

Lysander has fifteen years’ experience dealing with investments in both publicly quoted and private equity.  After nine years managing emerging market equity portfolios, including the $150m London Stock Exchange listed Israel Fund plc, he moved into private equity fund management. 

At New Europe Capital, an investment house focusing on Romania and Bulgaria, he established the London office and served on the Boards of two investee companies.  He was also involved in setting up Reconstruction Capital 2, an AIM-listed fund investing in South-East Europe.

Lysander’s experience of corporate finance ranges from advising an entrepreneur on raising capital for a fast-food franchise in China to carrying out due diligence on a major oil and gas acquisition target for the Ukrainian Group DF.  Most recently he gained experience in the low carbon and renewable energy sector at Sindicatum Carbon Capital, where he structured and negotiated a $32m investment in a LPG plant utilising flare gas in Indonesia.

Lysander has a BA in Modern Languages from New College, Oxford, and speaks fluent Russian and Romanian.
