Prior to joining Argo Saint George, Tony was Head of Client Investment for a property fund manager advising on £250 million of assets under management.

This followed 15 years as a career investment banker with Merrill Lynch, Credit Suisse and JP Morgan. Tony worked initially in corporate advisory and latterly as a highly-rated analyst and head of research. He managed teams of professionals, researching and advising a wide range of companies on fund raisings, IPOs, mergers and acquisitions. Tony's geographical coverage spanned companies in the UK, Mainland Europe, Central and Eastern Europe and Asia.

Tony initially trained as a chartered accountant with Arthur Andersen, specialising in tax. He is a graduate of Durham University where he read Geology and Geophysics. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
